This is one of Sarah's plants we have in the house. Very hearty and I was also impressed with how it turned out as a subject. Didn't give me any problems while working with it :)

I had loaned out my 50mm 1.8 for a few days this week and so when I got it back today I wanted to shoot something with super shallow depth of field. Our kitchen curtains became a fantastic subject.

Feb 2, 2011 - Day 33 - Hawks vs Bruins

The story behind this picture is a good one. Lined up for the face off on the right we have Eli Litchenwald, a rookie to the Hawks who has had a great season so far. Left we have Jonathon Ceci, a former hawk who was recently traded to Estevan to play for the bruins. The ice plant was down so they had to lower the temps in the arena so the ice would stay solid. It was a cold, cold night in "the cage." You can even see someone's breath in the picture.
